Marquess of Anglesey landmark closed without explanation
A 150 foot memorial on the banks of the Menai Strait on Anglesey has closed to the public without an explanation.
The public could once climb the 115 steps to the viewing platform where a statue of the Marquess of Anglesey, Henry Paget, is located.
The Marquess was a hero of the battle of Waterloo and the Duke of Wellington's deputy.
The closure comes as 2015 sees the double centerary of the end of the Napoleonic wars.
