The mother of murdered schoolgirl April Jones paid tribute to her 'beautiful daughter' at a Christmas carol service dedicated to missing people.

Coral Jones, 43, read a poem and lit a candle for five-year-old April at the Tabernacle Welsh Baptist Chapel in Cardiff. The service was organised by the charity Missing People.

She joined dozens of others whose loved ones have vanished without trace including Rachel Ellis, 45, sister of Manic Street Preachers guitarist Richard Edwards. Edwards went missing 19 years ago.

April Jones was taken by paedophile Mark Bridger as she played outside her family home in Machynlleth, Mid Wales.

Bridger, 48, is currently serving a life sentence after being found guilty of murdering April in October, 2012.
