Swansea were knocked out of the Capital One Cup last night after losing 2-1 to Liverpool.

Argentinian defender Federico Fernandez was sent off for a stoppage time challenge on Phillippe Coutinho.

Manager Garry Monk believes it was the latest example of his side being unfairly treated by referees this season saying that it was "clearly not a red card."

Monk was recently contacted by the FA after describing Michael Oliver's decision to award a penalty to Stoke - for what Monk believes was a "blatant dive" by Victor Moses - as "disgraceful" and "disgusting."

Monk's set to speak to referees' chief Mike Riley later this week about his latest concerns.

Marvin Emnes scored for the Swans in the 65th minute, but a goal from substitute Mario Balotelli and a 95th minute header from Dejan Lovren sealed the win for the home side.
