A lottery syndicate from Llanelli has bagged £1m on the EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle.

The lucky 15 - with a combined age of 1,000 years - are all members of the Penygroes Rugby Club and have each won £66,666.87. Their total winnings are £1,000,003.10 after they also matched two main numbers in the EuroMillions draw.

Syndicate leader Terry Rees, 73, discovered the win when he took the ticket to the local Today’s Store in Gorslas Square – where he always buys his tickets from - and handed it to the cashier.

The syndicate has vowed to be sensible with their winnings and not rush in to anything.
