Aspiring superheroes are being offered a house with an added extra - its own batcave.

The house in the countryside at Glyn Ceiriog, Llangollen, has an enormous cavern underneath with its own spring water supply just like Bruce Wayne's batman house in Gotham City.

The estate agents say the caves are a "magical feature of the property for extremely unique family home" - but owner Dave Thorley admits he is no Batman.

Dave, 55, said: "It's like walking into a huge church, going into the caves, I've never seen anything like it".

His three-bedroom country cottage has a £450,000 price tag - and Dave has loved exploring the caves over his 18 years there.

He has allowed scuba divers to use the caverns - and its pool has its own stock of trout.

"The water's crystal clear, so the visibility is fantastic," he said. "On a sunny day the water is turquoise."

Mr Thorley says the water is naturally filtered into the caves from a spring.

Because the temperature in the caves is so cool and consistent, they were once used for growing mushrooms.
