Liz Sullivan from Ebbw Vale set up her charity In the Pink after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001. Since then, she and her team have raised more than £1 million for Velindre to go towards research to help find a cure.
Virginia Prifti from Llanmadoc on Gower has raised almost £900,000 to make a massive difference to the lives of children in Africa after losing her own child. 8-year-old Lawrence passed away after suffering from Adrenaleukodystrophy (ALD), a rare degenerative disorder in 2005.
After serving in the Womens Royal Army Corps and the Army Post Office,Joan Lake, known affectionately as "The Poppy Lady" in her hometown of Barry, is known for devoting more than 30 years to fundraising for the Royal British Legion. Alongside her husband, she's managed to raise thousands of pounds in the run up to Armistice Day.
Tom Nasmyth-Shaw from Llanelli is a devoted father to his son, Jack, who has autism. Tom has set up a charity called 'Week On The Street' which sees him sleeping rough to raise money and awareness to help families with young children with autism.
