It came as no surprise today that Natural Resources Minister, Alun Davies was the main subject for discussion by Party leaders at First Minister's Questions.

First Minister, Carwyn Jones had already confirmed that he was ordering an inquiry, led by the Permanent Secretary Derek Jones into allegations about whether Mr Davies had broken the Ministerial code over the matter of the Circuit of Wales racetrack in his Constituency.

The Leader of the Opposition Andrew RT Davies was in pole position today and asked whether Mr Davies had sought advice from the FM about any potential conflicts of interest between his role as an AM and his role as Minister for Natural Resources and Food. The answer was in the negative

Meanwhile, Kirsty Williams, the Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats spoke of how she had previously called for clarity on how any possible breaches of the Ministerial code could be avoided, in a letter to the FM

The Permanent Secretary, Derek Jones has two weeks to report his findings.

The Leader of Plaid Cymru, Leanne Wood , however was occupied by a different subject at First Minister's Questions. It was that of strengthening ICT skills in Education which produced a bit of a tiff.
