Sharp End 24th February 2014
Sharp End is a little different this week. I'm joined in the studio for programme-length interview by just one guest, the Welsh Language Commissioner Meri Huws.
It's a relatively new rôle, only coming into effect in April 2012, and there are still a lot of questions about what powers she does or doesn't have. In the interview I try to get to the bottom of some of those questions and some of the concerns of Welsh speakers and non-Welsh speakers alike.
We also talk about the health of the language in the light of census figures which show its use declining in areas which have traditionally been its heartlands.
Join us for a Sharp End special, tonight at 1035pm on ITV Cymru Wales.
