Campaigners to lobby First Minister at National Eisteddfod
Campaigners from the Welsh language society Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg, will lobby First Minister Carwyn Jones to do more to protect the Welsh language when he visits the National Eisteddfod in Denbigh today. Earlier this year he took over the responsibility for the language in an attempt to encourage more Welsh speakers.
The Welsh Government has also provided the National Eisteddfod, Wales' biggest cultural event, with financial support over recent years. But some campaigners say that does not go far enough.
