Man delays own dreams of walking to help young boy

Dan Black has given away the money he raised for his own treatment.

For four years, Dan Black from Chepstow has been raising money for pioneering stem cell treatment that could help him walk again after becoming paralysed.

But, in an extraordinary act of kindness, he has given the £20,000 he has collected to help a five-year-old boy, Brecon Vaughan, who has never taken a single step.

Mr Black told ITV News: "I've had 22 years of walking. Brecon hasn't had 22 minutes yet. He needs it more than I do."

Brecon's parents have described the gesture as 'phenomenal' and say it has provided a huge boost to their £60,000 fundraising target.
