Michael Laudrup future in doubt as Swansea City cuts ties with agent Bayram Tutumlu
Swansea City have cut ties with the man responsible for brokering the deal that brought Manager Michael Laudrup to the Liberty Stadium, casting fresh doubt over his future.
Club sources have told ITV News that they believe Bayram Tutumlu has been trying to influence their transfer policy and that they now no longer wish to work with him.
FIFA registered agent Tutumlu has worked with Laudrup since his days as a player at some of Europe’s top clubs and acted as broker in the deal that brought him to South Wales last year.
Tutumlu also represents a host of other international stars and it is believed that it is this relationship that has lead the club to stop working with him, as they fear he has been attempting to influence which players move to the club this summer.
Swansea City FC have made no formal statement on the matter but club insiders have suggested that the decision has come from the very top, and that the board feel that they must abide by the principles which saw them rise from the brink of exiting the football league to qualifying for Europe in a little over a decade.
Bayram Tutumlu was tonight unavailable for comment.
