St David's Day celebrations in Brussels
To celebrate Saint David's Day a special event has been laid on at the European Parliament in Brussels.
All the best produce from Wales was served to guests in a traditional Welsh Farmhouse breakfast.
And when the First Minister spoke at lunchtime reception in Brussels, there was the same message - that in the wake of the horse meat scandal, Welsh meat producers can be trusted.
Carwyn Jones AM made the most of the opportunity to showcase Welsh produce at his reception. And Plaid MEP Jill Evans went further to say that better labelling could further boost customer confidence in Welsh goods.
There was much talk too among Welsh guests about another big issue - the impact the European Budget deal would have on Wales.
Labour MEP Derek Vaughan was of the opinion that it was a poor deal for Wales with a large cut in structural funds in the next round.
He said he would like to see the rules changed to allow more flexibility with safeguards put in place for areas of the UK like Wales that might lose out.
