In some ways, the best is saved for last this time, with Swansea in London on Sunday to take on Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane. Manager Michael Laudrup says he's delighted to face such a testing fixture, which he feels will provide an antidote to any reaction to the elation of Wednesday's Capital One Cup success. He does predict a tough contest, though, against a team he tips to secure fourth place in the Premiership and the Champions League place which goes with it.

As for Cardiff, top of the Championship and going great guns in their latest tilt at promotion, they meet the team at the very bottom of the table. For all that, manager Malky Mackay has warned that Peterborough are scrapping hard for survival, and can't be expected to simply roll over. The Championship is a notoriously unpredictable division, but the Bluebirds are chasing an astonishing eleventh home win on the trot. And games between the two clubs generally produce plenty of goals, so watch this space. Wrexham. on the other hand, take a break from league action for the Second Round of the FA Trophy. A return to the Football League remains very much the priority for the Dragons this season, but you feel they should have too much in hand for Solihull Moors of the Blue Square North, the level below. Meanwhile, their South Wales rivals Newport enjoy a weekend off - meaning a few more days to relish that emphatic midweek win against Luton which took them back to the top of the table.
