A taxi driver from Cardiff has been jailed for 15 years for mowing down eight men with his black cab.

Majid Rehman deliberately drove at speed towards pedestrians in the city centre in March. He had just had a row with a group of railway workers, and hit six of them, as well as two passers-by.

Today, a judge described his actions as 'intolerable in a civilised society'. His legal team has argued that the sentence given to him is 'off the Richter scale' and says they will appeal.

Our Correspondent Carl Edwards was in court - and has been speaking to some of the victims injured in the incident.
