Glamorgan will have home advantage in their opening five games of the 2013 season.

The season will begin with the annual University fixture, this year against Cardiff UCCE in a game which will carry first class status, on 5th April.

Mathew Mott's side will then host Northamptonshire and Worcestershire at the SWALEC stadium in the four-day format, before traveling north to Colwyn Bay CC for back-to-back CB40 fixtures against Lancashire and Yorkshire on the 5th and 6th of May.

There is again further "out-ground" action due at Swansea's St Helen's Stadium later in the season. Leicestershire will visit in a double-headed County Championship and CB40 meeting from the 21-25th August, where Glamorgan will look for a repeat of last season's successful visit to the city.

Welsh fans will get the chance to return to another test venue, Old Trafford, for the first time in 12 years in July for Glamorgan's first County Championship meeting with Lancashire since May 2001. The Lancastrians return to Division 2 for the 2013 season following their surprise relegation just a year after winning the Division 1 title.

Glamorgan have re-jigged their captaincy for the new season. Australian batsman Marcus North will lead the county in the One Day formats while wicket-keeper Mark Wallace retains the County Championship leadership.
