Parents hold 'Not Back to School Picnic' at Senedd

A group of parents who teach their children at home have handed in a petition today over proposals to regulate and monitor what they do.

The Welsh government has launched a consultation to address, what it calls, some of the shortcomings in elective home education.

The recommendations would see families having to register with their local authority so more checks could be done on what the children are learning. Our Correspondent Carl Edwards has more.
