Former WWII prisoner of war camp opens its doors to public
A former World War Two prisoner of war camp near Bridgend is opening its doors to the public for the first time in around 15 years.
Hut 9 is all that remains of Camp 198. It was the scene of the largest escape attempt by 70 German prisoners of war in March 1945.
Carl Edwards went to take a look around.
Hut 9 will be open to the public on September 8th and 9th as part of the annual Open Doors programme, which allows visitors to explore some of the UK's most iconic buildings and unusual sites free of charge.
