Wales Tonight can reveal that Dyfed Powys Police are to offer a substantial cash reward to help catch the killer of a Welsh backpacker in Thailand.

Kirsty Jones from Tredomen, near Brecon was murdered in 2000 but her mother has never given up hope that the killer would eventually be brought to justice.

Now there's new hope that the reward will bring a breakthrough in the case and Kirsty's mother is travelling to Thailand this weekend to make a direct appeal for witnesses.
