Wales welcomes the Olympic flame as it begins the latest leg of its relay around the UK. Hundreds of runners will carry the flame through the route - which covers all 22 Local Authorities in Wales. All the torchbearers are inspiring people with amazing individual stories to tell.

The torch will be greeted by the hundreds of people set to line the streets and celebrate the torch as it moves through the town on the first of its five-day journey through Wales.

The route planned started in Monmouth this morning, before going on to Raglan, Abergavenny, Brynmawr and Blaenavon. This afternoon, it will move on to Abersychan, Pontypool, Newport, Cardiff.
