Cwmbran girl's Olympic torch 'dream'
A 12-year-old girl from Cwmbran will see a dream come true later today when she carries the Olympic Torch through Pontypool.
Megan Jones, who has Perthes disease, weighed just 1lb 4oz when she was born prematurely. She then went on to develop a problem with her hips, and was left in a wheelchair.
Her family say it is a miracle she can walk at all, but she battled back to become a keen young footballer. For them, seeing her carry the Olympic Flame will be the best thing in the world.
Megan will become one of the first torchbearers to carry the flame around Wales.
It will tour the country over the next six days, taking a trip up Mount Snowdon and a journey across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct during the stay.
