Father appears in court over Porthmadog deaths
A husband and father from Porthmadog has appeared before magistrates charged with the murder of his wife and two-year-old son. David Wyn Jones, 42, was remanded to appear before Caernarfon Crown Court later today.
Caernarfon Magistrates Court heard that police had been called to the family's home in Glanmorfa Terrace, Pwllgoleulas, Porthmadog, on Friday 30th March, where the bodies of 34-year-old Suzanne Jones and her son William Jones were discovered. Mr Jones was charged with two counts of murder on Sunday afternoon.
Police were called to their home following 'a domestic-related incident'. In a statement their family described the pair as 'fantastic' people.
Mr Jones has been remanded in custody, and a plea and case-management hearing has been set for 11 June.
