Man charged with Porthmadog murders

North Wales Police have charged a 42-year-old man with the murders of a 34-year-old woman and a two-year-old child in Porthmadog.

They say the man is local and was arrested at the scene following 'a domestic-related incident'.

The two have been named as Suzanne Jones and her son William. Their bodies were discovered on Friday night at a house near Tremadog, Gwynedd.

In a statement their family described the pair as 'fantastic' people.

Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to the incident.

Relatives of the two are being supported by specially trained officers.
