Porthmadog was the warmest place in the UK yesterday with the mercury reaching 22.2 Celsius and as a result matched the record for the warmest 24th March. The current record is for Hodsock Priory in Nottinghamshire that was set in 1918.

We're a little way off the all-time Wales March record of 23.9 Celsius that was set on 29th March 1965.

The warm temperatures continue well into next week and, whilst it will cool a little by next weekend, the settled dry weather is set to stick around for quite a while.
