ITV Wales understands that Ceri Sweeney and Tom James were arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning outside the Tiger Tiger nightclub, just hours after Wales beat England to secure the triple crown. Both players had played in the Blues' defeat against Munster on Friday night. The Cardiff Blues have refused to comment on the matter.

South Wales Police have confirmed that four men were arrested on suspicion of assault in Greyfriars Place at around 1.20am on Sunday morning and are currently on police bail. A 26-year-old man required stitches for a facial wound, whilst a second man, aged 27, was also assaulted. Officers say they are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed this incident.

Ceri Sweeney, 35, signed for the Blues in 2008 after four seasons with the Newport Gwent Dragons. He has made 35 appearances for Wales after making his international debut in 2003. Tom James, 24, joined the Cardiff RFC at the start of the 2006-07 season and made his international debut in 2007, playing 10 times.
