Pedestrian hit by bus in Belfast city centre

A pedestrian has been knocked down by a bus in Belfast city centre.

The man became trapped under the Ulsterbus in the collision at Custom House Square which happened at around 11.20am on Saturday.

He was freed by the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service and has been taken to hospital where he is in a stable condition.

Queen's Square was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Translink has said an investigation is underway.
