Man, 20, suffers 'serious' facial injury in Belfast assault

A 20-year-old man has sustained a serious injury to his face in an assault in Belfast city centre.

The attack happened in the Donegall Place area in the early hours of Monday.

The victim was attacked with what is believed to have been a weapon and suffered a wound to his cheek.

Police say a number of males wearing track suits were involved in the assault.
