After a series of disappointing results, Ballymena bounced back to form with a 4-1 win over Cliftonville at the Showgrounds on Tuesday.

All the goals came in an action-packed second half as United defender Kyle Owens started the ball rolling with his 55th minute opener.

Johnny McMurray made it 2-0 for the home side, but Stephen Garrett pulled a goal back for the Reds on 62 minutes.

The home win was sealed on 80 minutes by Cathair Friel and, to finish off a superb performance, Johnny McMurray nipped in for number four two minutes from the end.
