View From Stormont: Review of the Year 2024

2024 will go down in history, as the year which saw the return of the political institutions.

Once again we have a functioning Exectuive and Assembly.

It was also a year which saw a General Election redraw the political landscape here with the DUP reduced from eight to five Westminster seats.

But the biggest shock of the year came when the former DUP Leader Sir Jeffrey Donaldson resigned from the party after being charged with historical sex offences. Mr Donaldson strenuously denies all the charges against him.

Matt Sterling looks back on a year which saw much political upheaval.
