Belfast City Airport 'operating as normal' after Sunday's emergency closure after plane crash
This is the dramatic moment a plane crash landed at Belfast City Airport on Sunday forcing the runway to close for a period.
The airport re-opened on Monday morning after the incident involving an Aer Lingus plane. The airport said normal operations had resumed.
Hundreds of passengers were affected with flights cancelled or diverted. The Aer Lingus regional carrier had no passengers onboard and four crew members when the flight landed heavily due to the bad weather. It appeared the aircraft's front landing gear collapsed.
Emergency services were on hand to assist them on the runway which was then closed.
Some journeys were re-diverted to Belfast International Airport, although in a post on X on Sunday evening, the airport said it was "close to capacity".
There were no reports of injuries.
In a statement on Monday morning, Belfast City Airport confirmed that the airport has re-opened and that 'normal services will resume'.
It said that "passengers impacted by yesterday’s runway closure, or those due to travel today should check the status of their flight with the airline before making their way to the airport".
On Belfast City Airport's website on Monday morning, a number of flight delays and cancellations are already on display.
