"Accidental time capsule" from 1845 unearthed during Armagh building renovation restored
A bundle of advertisements from 1845 found stuck to the back of a door in a historic Armagh building undergoing renovation has been carefully restored by a paper expert.
The posters, for everything from plays to fertiliser, are now on display in Armagh County Museum.
They were found while contractors worked to renovate buildings within the town's historic zone.
The ads were subsequently treated by Sean Madden, a world famous paper conservator from Lurgan.
