Gardaí release man without charge in relation to Kyran Durnin disappearance
Gardaí investigating the disappearance and murder of Kyran Durnin have released a man without charge who was arrested on Thursday.
Meanwhile, a search at a second property in Drogheda has finished.
It comes after a woman was arrested and questioned by Gardaí on Tuesday before being released without charge 24 hours later.
A murder investigation was first launched in October, although it is possible Kyran died in 2022 when he was six.
Investigators have already searched a former family home in Dundalk and adjoining land.
In addition, Ireland’s Child and Family Agency, Tusla, submitted a report on its engagement with Kyran and his family to the Minister for Children last month.
The minister, Roderic O’Gorman, said he could not disclose or publish any details of the report as there is an ongoing Garda investigation into the presumed death of the boy.
An Garda Síochána continues to appeal to any person with any information, on the disappearance and murder of Kyran Durnin, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to contact the Garda Investigation Team at Drogheda Garda Station on 041 987 4200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or speak with any member of An Garda Síochána.
