Tracey Magee: What you're potentially looking at is a stand-off between the government and the DUP
UTV's Political Editor Tracey Magee looks at speculation the government is holding the Northern Ireland Protocol bill in an attempt to put pressure on the DUP to resume Stormont.
A second reading of the bill was expected to happen on Monday - however it's understood that will now not go ahead.
"I would have to say that's quite a risky strategy," Tracey says.
"I asked one DUP source about whether or not they would respond to government pressure and the answer was 'it's a non-starter and they know it'."
The DUP haven't gone back into the power-sharing Executive as part of their protest over the Northern Ireland Protocol.
Tracey explained: "What you're potentially looking at is a stand-off between the government and the DUP."
