Security alert ends after PSNI find 'Viable device' in Moor Park Mews area of West Belfast
A security alert has ended after the PSNI found a 'viable device' in the Mew Park Mews area of West Belfast on Tuesday evening.
Officers from the Ammunition and technical team attended the scene in the residential street. Local inhabitants had to be temporarily evacuated.
A cordon was placed around the location and the road was closed.
The police successfully removed the device and have taken it away for further examination.
Residents have been able to return to their homes on Wednesday morning. A PSNI spokesperson thanked the local population for their co-operation and patience during the alert.
