A security alert in Dungiven is continuing for a second day after a suspicious object was found in the area.

The Ballyquinn road in Co. Londonderry has been shut between the junctions of the Camnish and Curragh roads.

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and seek alternative main routes for their journey.
