Five more Coronavirus deaths in Northern Ireland

The number of people who have died after testing positive for coronavirus in Northern Ireland has risen to 494 after five more deaths were reported by the Department of Health.

Four deaths have occurred in the last 24 hours and another one outside that period have been recorded.

Since the last report, 18 people have tested positive for Covid-19, 1,321 lab tests have been carried out and 890 individuals have been tested.

There are currently 669 people hospitalised with coronavirus and 70 care home outbreaks, recorded on the department’s dashboard breakdown.
