Ballymena and Cliftonville reach Co Antrim Shield final
Ballymena United and Cliftonville have sealed their places in the Co Antrim Shield final, after wins over H&W Welders and Glentoran respectively.
Wednesday night’s games saw Ballymena ease through with a 4-0 victory over their Championship opponents at the Showgrounds.
Adam Lecky bagged a hat-trick, including the opening goal just 12 minutes in, while Shane McGinty also got on the scoresheet.
Meanwhile, Joe Gormley’s goal was enough to see Cliftonville edge past Glentoran in their 1-0 win.
Ballymena and Cliftonville will meet in the final on Tuesday 21 January.
