Man and woman arrested on suspicion of murder of Pat McCormick

A man and woman have been arrested by police investigating the murder of William ‘Pat’ McCormick.

The body of the 55-year-old was found in a lake in the Ballygowan area on Tuesday.

The Father-of Four had not been seen since Thursday 30 May, when he left his parents’ home in Ballynahinch and drove back to Comber in his black Citroen C4.

A 26-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were arrested in the Comber area on Thursday morning and are being questioned on suspicion of murder.

They are currently being questioned by detectives in Musgrave Serious Crime Suite.
