Man charged as part of Paul Smyth murder investigation

A 29-year-old man has been charged with five offences by detectives investigating the murder of Paul Smyth in Lisburn.

The man is due to appear at Armagh Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday charged with assisting offenders and witholding information.

He is also accused of two counts of attempted murder and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Paul Smyth was shot dead in the living room of his home at Coulson Avenue on Friday 21 June.

Two men have been remanded in custody charged with his murder.
