Funeral held for Lisburn murder victim
The funeral of Paul Smyth, who was shot dead in his home in Lisburn, has taken place.
The 50-year-old was found by a friend in the living room of his home with a fatal shotgun wound to the chest.
Neighbours described Mr Smyth as a quiet man who lived alone at the Coulson Avenue property following the death of his mother.
His funeral took place at St Patrick’s Church, Chapel Hill on Saturday morning before burial at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
He is remembered by his sister, brother-in-law, nephews and niece and wider family circle.
Two men have appeared in court in Lisburn charged with his murder and the attempted murder of a couple in the city on Sunday 23 June. The pair will appear via videolink next month.
