Murder investigation launched after Comber man's disappearance
A murder investigation has been launched by police searching for a missing Co Down man.
55-year-old William McCormick - known locally as Pat - was last seen in Comber on Thursday 30 May and hasn't been in contact with his family since.
Detective Chief Inspector Pete Montgomery said, "Whilst I'm keeping an open mind, I now believe that Pat has sadly been murdered."
A 26-year-old man arrested yesterday on suspicion of kidnapping and a 20-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and perverting the course of justice, have been rearrested on suspicion of murder.
As of Tuesday evening, the pair remain in custody as Musgrave Street station.
Police are asking anyone who saw Mr McCormick in the Comber area at the time to contact them.
Detective Chief Inspector Montgomery added, "Pat was a father of four and his family deserve to know what has happened to him."
