Escaped golden eagle Griff is back home
A golden eagle that escaped from its enclosure in Randalstown in Co Antrim has now returned home.
Griff disappeared from the World of Owls sanctuary last month, sparking fears for his safety.
The species is the second largest bird of prey in the UK, but his owner told UTV his is ill-equipped to survive in the wild, and will starve to death if not found.
However on Saturday, the sanctuary tweeted the good news that Griff was found, and thanked those who helped in the searches.
"It means the world to us," they said.
