Mark McMullan has secured his place in the final of Britain’s Got Talent.

The singing sensation from Crossgar moved the judges with an emotional rendition of You Will Be Found, from the musical Dear Evan Hanson, on Thursday's live show.

Mark, who’s 24, dedicated the performance to his severely disabled brother Declan, who was in the audience.

Back home, his proud grandparents take credit for recognising his singing talent at an early age.

“We’ve been used to him singing well, both with us in the choir, but he sang in the choral society in Downpatrick, so he brought tears to our eyes even then,” Seamus Mullan told UTV.

Annie Mullan added: “We’re very proud of him, and whatever’s to be now will be.

“He said that to his mum this morning, he said ‘I’ve got this far, I’m very happy, and whatever happens it happens.”

All the chat in Crossgar has been of Mark’s achievements, as his fans in the town prepare for what’s sure to be another tearjerker on Sunday.
