Homeless man found dead in Belfast city centre
A homeless man has been found dead in Belfast city centre.
Police and forensics were called to the scene at High Street on Friday morning, where his body was found in a doorway.
A statement said: “Police attended a report of a sudden death of a man at the High Street area of Belfast this morning.
“A post mortem is due to be carried out to establish the cause of death.”
A charity which helps those living on the streets said they knew him and expressed their shock at the latest death in city.
Sandra Moore from the Welcome Organisation said: “It’s a challenging job at the best of times and certainly when you rouse someone, particularly a man in his mid-30s, you do not expect him to have passed on.”
