Northern Ireland’s Jonathan Rea has now won more races in a row than any competitor in World Superbike history, making it 10 in a row in Argentina.

Rea took the top spot on the podium in both races at the San Juan circuit for his fifth consecutive double of the season.

It wasn’t all smooth sailing for the Ballyclare man, but the results certainly cement his place among the greats of the sport.

Rea had already secured the championship – his fourth in a row - while his Kawaskai team claimed the constructors’ title.
