This Evening and Tonight:A dry evening with clear spells, light winds for a time. However increasing cloud brings occasionally heavy rain quickly east through the early hours. Drier conditions follow from the west towards dawn. Southeasterly gales developing, severe around North Channel coasts. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Friday:Early gales, severe on east coast, easing down. Early rain in east clearing then sunny spells in the morning. Cloudier in afternoon with some showery rain developing especially in east. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:Cloudy on Saturday with rain at times, some heavy. Sunday and Monday then see sunny spells and showers, perhaps more persistent rain again later Monday.
