Major fire breaks out at Primark in Belfast city centre
A large fire has broken out at the Primark store in Belfast City centre.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) received a report that the top floor of the five-storey building was on fire at 11am on Tuesday morning.
14 fire appliances and 80 firefighters have been at the scene dealing with the fire.
The fire service has confirmed that the building has been evacuated.
They have advised residents and businesses in the City Centre to keep their windows and doors closed as a precautionary measure.
The fire service has also advised the public to stay away from the Castle Street/Royal Avenue area whilst the incident is ongoing.
Diversions are currently in place at Bridge Street and High Street, Castle Street and Queens Street and Royal Avenue and North Street.
