Thousands take part in Royal Black parades

Thousands of members of the Royal Black Institution have taken part in ‘Last Saturday’ parades across Northern Ireland.

The processions traditionally mark the end of the Loyal Order marching season each summer.

The largest parade was in Newtownards where five thousand members from over a hundred preceptories and over a hundred bands paraded before a religious service on Saturday 25 August.
