John O’Shea reflects on Republic of Ireland career

John O'Shea is hoping for a happy ending to his international career ahead of his last appearance for the Republic of Ireland in a friendly against the USA.

Saturday evening's match, which is set to kick-off shortly after eight o'clock, will be the thirty-seven-year-old's one hundred and eighteenth international cap.

O’Shea described playing for the Republic of Ireland as the “ultimate kid’s dream” and said that putting the shirt on has been a “fantastic honour.”
