Snow Patrol heading for first UK No1 album in 12 years

Snow Patrol are set to plays gigs including in Belfast and Dublin towards the end of the year.

Snow Patrol’s latest album Wildness is soaring ahead at the top of the charts at the midway stage, on course to give them their first UK number one album in 12 years.

It comes more than a decade after the Northern Irish group’s only other number one album, Eyes Open.

If it secures top spot, Wildness will knock The Greatest Showman movie soundtrack down to number two while Shawn Mendes’ eponymous album is in line for a top three finish.

Snow Patrol have just announced eight headline gigs in the UK and Ireland throughout December and January.

The band’s schedule will include the SSE Arena Belfast on Friday 7 December and Dublin’s 3Arena on Tuesday 11 December.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday 8 June at 9am.
