Bomb alert closes Springfield Road in Belfast

The Springfield Road in west Belfast has been closed in both directions due to a bomb alert.

Police say a suspicious object has been found in the area between Dunboyne Park and the West Circular Road roundabout.

Diversions are in place and motorists have been asked to avoid the area where possible.
